OUR STORY: Circle of Life

Our story begins with two women who are fiercely committed to the welfare of animals.  We are animal lovers to the depths of our souls. Our love of, and respect for, animals are what define us and have bound us to their care and advocacy.

As life-time animal lovers, we have lost beloved animal companions and have stood where you stand now, filled with that grief and loss. Between the two of us, we bring nearly 50 years of work ensuring the well-being of animals and honoring the importance and power of the human-animal bond. We have extensive experience with service dog programs, animal rescue and therapeutic riding. These experiences have resulted in our firm belief in the importance and limitless wonders of animals in our lives. We strongly feel that animals bring a wisdom and beauty to any of us who wish to listen and learn. In return for their great gifts to us, we believe we have a constant and compelling obligation to promote and ensure their well being throughout all stages of their lives. It is this fierce conviction that has led to our creation of Circle of Life and our guiding principle…  to treat every animal we work with exactly how we would want our beloved companion animals to be treated – with sensitivity, respect and gentleness.

We bring to Circle of Life our pledge to excellence, compassion, dedication to the human-animal bond and our deep understanding of, and belief in, the wonders and powers of animals in our lives. This deep and abiding commitment to animals and the human animal-bond is reflected in our partnership with International Hearing Dog, Incorporated (IHDI), an organization that has, for over 40 years, been rescuing shelter dogs and training them to be service dogs for individuals who are deaf. We provide a portion of the profit from every cremation to IHDI in order to help support their life-changing service to their four-legged and two-legged participants.

Therefore, together – you and us – can take a very difficult time in life, and with compassion and great care, allow it to be a time of healing and health for others – and coincidentally ourselves. Thus, the Circle of Life…

My visit to get my Lady Dog cremated was very difficult, it was made less painful by the kindness and compassion of Kay! I could not recommend Circle of Life more, their professionalism was exceptional, and though I hope it’s a long time before I need their services again I wouldn’t go anywhere else!!
