FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is cremation?
Cremation is a process by which your pet’s remains are exposed to intense heat, thereby reducing the body to very small bone fragments and ash. The remains are sterile, odorless, and weigh only a fraction of the pet’s original weight. They can be safely stored indefinitely, or you may choose to scatter or bury them.

What is the cost of cremation?
The cost for cremation depends on the weight of your pet, whether you prefer your pet’s remains to be returned to you or cremated communally, and whether you choose a private, individual, attended private, or communal cremation. Please contact us for a quote. (A clay paw print is available for an additional fee of $25 for either cremation option).

How will my pet be returned to me?
After the process is complete, your pet’s remains are gathered and secured in a plastic bag within a cloth bag with their Animal Companion ID Tag and placed in a beautiful rosewood urn for display in your home, or for transporting to your pet’s favorite location to scatter and return your loved one to the earth. For an additional cost you can select from a wide array of urns and memorial markers.

Can I tour or be present for the cremation?
Absolutely. To ensure the privacy of all clients, we do ask that you schedule a time to visit us.

How do I get my pet to Circle of Life Pet Cremation Services after h/she is euthanized?
Simply tell your vet that Circle of Life Pet Cremation Services will be handling the transportation and cremation of your pet. Call us and we will make the arrangements. Consider using our pre-planning service so that, when the time comes, these details will be taken care of.

If my pet passes away at home what should I do?
We recommend that you keep the body as cool as possible and call us. We will work with you on arranging transport as soon as possible for your pet. If your pet dies during the night, call and leave a message, and we will contact you the following morning.

Just when you think you can tolerate nothing more, Katelynn takes over. Her grounding and calm, genuine manner is what was needed when our hearts were broken. I can’t imagine having had anyone else manage the cremation of our boy, Zeke. From our first contact with COL to the moment we retrieved his ashes, Katelynn was front and center. We highly recommend COL, integrity, honesty, sincerity...
